May 29, 2026 Be an early applicant Required Years of Experience 4 years Job Details We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and uphold the high standards of hospitality that define the Rhode Island dining scene. This role is designed for a leader who understands that a great guest experience is rooted in the details, from the precision of service to the warmth of the atmosphere. You will be responsible for the daily rhythm of the floor, the professional development of our service team, and ensuring that our commitment to local sourcing and quality is reflected in every shift.
Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring seamless transitions between lunch, dinner, and high-volume weekend service.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor a staff of servers, bussers, and hosts. You will be responsible for maintaining rigorous service standards and conducting regular performance evaluations and "server tests."
Guest Experience:
Act as the primary point of contact for guests, managing floor presence during peak hours to ensure every table receives attentive, professional service.
Inventory & Vendor Relations:
Manage beverage programs and front-of-house supplies, with a particular focus on showcasing local New England products and farm-to-table offerings.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor labor costs, manage scheduling, and oversee daily cash handling and POS reporting to ensure the business remains lean and profitable.
Facility Standards:
Maintain the aesthetic and functional integrity of the space, ensuring all dining and service areas meet health, safety, and brand standards.
Qualifications Experience:
3-5+ years of management experience in a high-volume, upscale casual, or fine-dining environment.
Local Knowledge:
A deep understanding of the Rhode Island hospitality landscape and a passion for New England's seasonal culinary cycles.
Leadership Style:
A "lead by example" mentality. You aren't afraid to jump into a busy service or assist the EXPO during a rush.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with modern POS systems and reservation via OpenTable.
Certification:
Valid RI Food Safety Manager certification and TIPS certification required.
