JOB OVERVIEW
At V Modern Italian, the Restaurant Manager is a hands-on operational leader responsible for driving execution, supporting team development, and ensuring exceptional hospitality throughout every shift. This role partners closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to oversee Front of House operations, guest experience, dining room execution, beverage performance, host stand operations, and team accountability. The Restaurant Manager serves as a visible leadership presence on the floor, setting the tone for hospitality, coaching team members in real time, and ensuring operational standards are consistently executed. This is not an office position. This is a floor leadership role. The Restaurant Manager leads from the front, develops people through coaching, and protects the standards that define the V Modern Italian experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Leadership Lead daily restaurant operations with a focus on hospitality, execution, cleanliness, organization, and profitability. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) when scheduled. Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout service. Ensure all Front of House standards, systems, and procedures are executed consistently. Support smooth communication between Front of House and Back of House teams. Identify operational opportunities and implement solutions that improve guest experience and efficiency. Protect the V Modern Italian experience during every shift. Guest Experience Leadership Deliver exceptional hospitality and service execution. Support and coach the team in creating memorable guest experiences. Anticipate guest needs and proactively address concerns. Resolve guest issues with urgency, professionalism, and empathy. Build guest relationships that create loyalty and repeat business. Ensure every guest interaction reflects the V hospitality promise. Lead service recovery efforts and create positive outcomes for guests. Bar & Beverage Leadership Oversee daily bar operations and beverage execution. Support beverage inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage procedures. Ensure compliance with beverage recipes, standards, and portion controls. Coach bartenders and servers on beverage knowledge, cocktail execution, wine sales, and upselling techniques. Monitor beverage costs, waste, and profitability. Partner with leadership on beverage program initiatives and menu execution. Support responsible alcohol service and compliance standards. Host Stand & Guest Flow Management Oversee reservation management, seating strategy, and guest flow. Ensure the host stand operates with professionalism, accuracy, and hospitality. Support Lead Hosts and Hosts in delivering exceptional arrival and departure experiences. Monitor dining room pacing and table utilization. Ensure proper use of OpenTable and guest profile management. Coordinate seating strategies that balance guest experience and operational efficiency. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, coach, and develop Front of House team members. Conduct real-time coaching and performance conversations. Reinforce accountability, professionalism, and hospitality standards. Support onboarding and training of new team members. Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement. Recognize and celebrate strong performance while addressing opportunities for growth. Develop future leaders through mentorship and coaching. Financial Performance Support achievement of sales, labor, profitability, and guest satisfaction goals. Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost controls. Monitor labor deployment and staffing efficiency. Review shift performance and operational metrics. Assist with daily reporting, cash handling, comps, voids, and operational documentation. Support initiatives that improve profitability while maintaining guest experience. Standards, Systems & Compliance Uphold all V Modern Italian hospitality standards, systems, and operating procedures. Ensure compliance with health department regulations, alcohol service laws, and workplace policies. Maintain cleanliness, safety, organization, and maintenance standards. Ensure all opening, shift, and closing procedures are executed consistently. Protect the integrity of the V Modern Italian brand through disciplined execution and attention to detail.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in upscale casual, polished casual, fine dining, hotel, or high-volume hospitality environments. Strong understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and guest experience. Knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage programs. Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management platforms preferred. Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with restaurant technology platforms and reporting systems. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
