Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant food service team! This energetic role is perfect for someone passionate about culinary excellence, exceptional customer service, and team leadership. As an integral part of our management team, you will support the kitchen operations, ensure food quality standards are met, and help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during shifts in a quick service or casual dining environment Support food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards and consistency across all menu items Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy Train and develop staff members on food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and customer service excellence Oversee shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks, and ensuring timely service delivery Uphold food safety regulations and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe dining experience for guests Assist with budgeting responsibilities, including labor costs and food expenses, to support overall restaurant profitability Participate in interviewing potential team members to build a strong, skilled workforce aligned with our hospitality values Support catering, banquet events, or bar services as needed to enhance guest experiences across different service settings Proven supervisory or assistant management experience within a fast-paced restaurant environment, ideally in casual dining or quick service settings Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management best practices Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling proficiency required Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives and performance management Background in food safety standards compliance and sanitation practices within the food industry Familiarity with inventory control processes, budgeting, and cost management strategies in a restaurant setting Prior experience in hospitality management roles including shift management, staff interviewing, and customer service excellence is highly desirable Join us to lead with energy and passion!
