Overview The Facility Mount Vintage Golf Club is a semi-private club that offers golfers of all abilities a 27-hole championship golf course likened to Augusta National Golf Club by national media outlets such as Golf Magazine. The superior golfing experience at the Mount Vintage Golf Club is the result of our extreme attention to detail and the exacting standards of our highly experienced course Superintendent James Williams. The Club is situated among some of the most dramatic topography in the region and is noted for its lush tree cover, stacked-stone bridges and a similar look to Augusta National (Golf Magazine). Each brilliantly green fairway provides breathtaking views. You'll love the challenging routing and amazing design of this incomparable course. General Manager for our HOA owned 27-hole course in North Augusta, SC. The General Manager will serve as the Club's senior leader whose responsibility is to develop a strong team of leaders who can provide a quality and consistent club experience to members and their guests. The General Manager also serves a diverse team of employees by fostering strong employment experience with clear standards of performance and providing opportunities to learn and grow as professionals. This person would have the following experiences and areas of expertise and should be immediately available for interviews with a starting date shortly thereafter. Experience Required
BACKGROUND/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the Club industry or hospitality general management.
  • Strong financial acumen and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be able to effectively delegate and follow up on assignments and goals
  • Must be strong in problem solving skills as well as customer communication
  • Must be able to multi-task and work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) without supervision where required
  • Experiences with a course that has member play, outside play and outings with a desire to develop Junior golf
  • A four-year degree in management, hospitality, marketing or related preferred
  • Membership in the PGA, CMAA or hospitality related associations a plus
  • Preferred to be ARGO Certified Essential Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the Club operation.
  • Responsible for staff hiring, training, mentoring, scheduling, and management. Deliver performance appraisals and the productive coaching/counseling of staff as needed.
  • Prepare budgets and adhere to budget guidelines. Work closely with accounting to assure compliance, accuracy of data and good member relations.
  • Maintain the point of sale system and train staff on the same.
  • Maintain all food & beverage inventory.
  • Ensure financial process is utilized effectively such as Club payroll operations, timely processing of invoices and handling of money/charges.
  • Work closely with all department managers in a collaborative effort to successfully manager their business taking a partnership approach to decision making.
  • Assist with the management of corporate events for associates, sales, and membership.
  • Provide club communications including weekly e-blasts, E-vents, invitations, member notices, daily member feedback response.
  • Implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Embrace a Service Style to Club operations and culture.
  • Ensure Club Safety requirements and manage safety issues.
  • Assure that the assets are in excellent repair and maintained in good working order.
