We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional guest experiences and a strong team culture. Located on Sullivan's Island, The Obstinate Daughter is proud to be recognized on the Michelin Guide Recommended list and is known for its ingredient-driven cuisine, energetic atmosphere, and commitment to genuine hospitality. Our management team members have strong floor presence, leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Position Details Full-Time Salary:
$60000-$80000 annually based on experience Expected schedule: 40-45 hours per week Weekend and holiday availability required Evening availability required end and holiday availability required Evening availability required Benefits Full benefits package Paid time off (PTO) Health insurance 401(k) eligibility after 1 year of employment Dining discounts Growth opportunities within a respected restaurant group Responsibilities Oversee daily front-of-house restaurant operations Lead and support service teams during lunch and dinner service Ensure exceptional guest experience and hospitality standards Manage floor operations, staffing levels, and service flow Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently Coach, train, and develop team members Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management Monitor labor and assist with scheduling Ensure cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards are maintained Enforce company policies, operational procedures, and service standards Maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH teams Assist with inventory, ordering, comps/voids oversight, and operational reporting Support special events, holiday operations, and high-volume weekends Qualifications Previous restaurant management experience required Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to remain calm and organized in high-volume environments Excellent guest recovery and problem-solving skills Strong understanding of restaurant operations and service standards Experience managing and motivating teams Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Experience with Toast POS is a huge plus Experience with Resy is a huge plus Fine dining or upscale casual experience preferred What We're Looking For Positive and professional attitude Strong sense of urgency Team-first mentality Accountability and reliability Passion for hospitality and guest experience Desire to grow within a strong restaurant group If you are passionate about hospitality and want to be part of one of the Charleston area's most respected restaurant teams, we would love to hear from you.
