Job Description

About This Role This is an Executive House Manager position supporting two entrepreneurs and their blended family in Summerville, SC. Between us, we have six boys, four dogs, and two growing businesses — and we need someone who thrives in a full, dynamic household and takes genuine pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Our schedules are demanding. Our kids are our priority. The whole point of this role is to give us our time back — so that when we're with our boys, we're fully there, and when we're working, we're not distracted by everything else. This role operates independently. You will not be micromanaged. You'll be trusted with our home, our finances, our kids' schedules, and our family's day-to-day life — and we expect you to handle it without being asked twice. We share a coparenting schedule, so not every day includes all six boys. You'll need to be comfortable communicating with both coparents through designated channels when necessary. Within the next two years, we'll be fully combining households — and this role will grow with us. Who You Are You're warm, organized, and unflappable. You walk into a room, see what needs to be done, and handle it. You're comfortable managing finances, coordinating a busy family calendar, prepping food for a house full of boys, and caring for four dogs — sometimes all in the same morning. You think ahead, close open loops, and take real satisfaction in making a busy family's life feel calm and organized. Trust and discretion are non-negotiable — you will have access to financial accounts, personal schedules, and private family matters.
What We Need From You:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Comfortable managing a household budget and paying bills Tech-savvy — calendar apps, email, bill pay, spreadsheets Comfortable with kids and dogs CPR certified or willing to obtain Available to pet sit and house sit during family travel Absolute discretion with financial and personal information. Background check required.
Home Bible:
From day one, you'll help build and maintain a Home Bible — a living master document covering everything needed to run this household: emergency contacts, vendor contacts, appliance details, warranties, pet care instructions, recurring schedules, utility accounts, vehicle information, insurance policies, and household protocols. Keeping it current is part of the job.
Responsibilities :
Daily Home & Family Tidy and reset all common areas; light cleaning — dishes, surfaces, bathrooms, and high-traffic areas Keep both the physical wall calendar and the online family calendar in sync and fully up to date Pack school lunches and after-school snacks for the boys (high protein, low carb, low sugar) Prep school snacks for the week; restock as needed Prep and set up dinner each evening Feed and care for the dogs; walks as needed Sort mail, manage packages — pickups, deliveries, and returns Monitor email and flag anything related to school, appointments, meetings, or items needing attention Kids Manage kids' daily logistics in line with the coparenting schedule — not all six boys are here every day Lay out complete outfits for the boys before sporting events and activities Weekly Planning & Scheduling Deliver a printed weekly schedule every Sunday — this is the cornerstone of how we plan our week; it must include the meal plan, activity schedule, appointments, budget snapshot, and all key logistics Build the weekly meal plan by Sunday; include in the weekly schedule Grocery shop weekly based on the meal plan and household supply needs — price check across stores for the best deals Home Operations All household laundry — wash, dry, fold, and put away for the entire family Change and refresh linens throughout the home Prep adult lunches for the week (high protein, low carb, low sugar) Oversee and quality-check cleaning crew visits Restock all household consumables — pantry, fridge, paper goods, cleaning products, personal care, and bathroom supplies; flag overages and provide regular spending updates Organize receipts and financial documents; coordinate with our accountant at tax time Conduct periodic audits of subscriptions and recurring services — cancel what's unused Bank runs and deposits as needed Home & Property Research, vet, schedule, and supervise all vendors — contractors, landscapers, handymen, cleaners, and pest control Be present at the home for all service windows, deliveries, and repair appointments Manage seasonal home maintenance calendar — HVAC filters, gutters, lawn care, and general upkeep Maintain a home inventory document — appliances, warranties, paint colors, filter sizes, and service records Handle dry cleaning drop-off and pickup; process package returns and exchanges Execute seasonal clothing rotations; track sizing for all kids and restock outgrown items within budget Maintain all closets year-round — kids, master, linen, coat, and utility Vehicles Manage all vehicle maintenance — oil changes, inspections, detailing, and service scheduling Track registration, insurance, and roadside coverage for all vehicles; keep vehicles fueled and organized Pets Schedule and confirm vet appointments; keep all pet records current Schedule grooming on a regular cadence; administer monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives on schedule Keep all pet food and supplies fully stocked at all times Kids & Family Schedule and track all children's appointments — pediatric checkups, dental, vision, and therapy; ensure nothing lapses Research and coordinate tutors, extracurriculars, and sports clinics; manage ongoing scheduling Research summer camps, manage waitlists, and handle enrollment and deposits Order school supplies, uniforms, and spirit wear each season; manage re-enrollment paperwork ahead of deadlines Maintain a size file for each child — clothes, shoes, sports gear — updated as they grow Coordinate end-of-year appreciation gifts for teachers and coaches Gifts & Holidays Maintain a year-round gift tracker for family birthdays and special occasions — purchase, wrap, and ship on time Manage all major holiday gifts and coordination: Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and others as they come Holiday decorations purchased within budget, organized by holiday, and stored properly after each season Holiday meal planning and grocery coordination Business Support Manage all business travel — book flights, hotels, and ground transportation; build complete day-by-day itineraries Build customized packing lists for each family member; manage loyalty programs and upgrades proactively Track and renew TSA PreCheck, Global Entry, and passports for all family members well in advance Arrange house-watching and pet care before every trip — you may be asked to house sit or pet sit yourself Manage real-time travel disruptions — rebooking, resolving issues, and finding alternatives Looking Ahead Within the next two years, we'll be fully combining our households — six boys, four dogs, and two businesses all under one roof. This role will expand alongside that transition. We're not looking for someone to fill a job. We're looking for someone to become a trusted, long-term part of how our family operates. • This role will evolve as we do. Duties listed are not all-inclusive. Responsibilities may shift, grow, or change based on the family's needs, and we appreciate flexibility and a willingness to adapt.
