Job Description

Night Manager - Clarksville's 3rd Base Position Summary Clarksville's 3rd Base is seeking a dependable, hands-on Night Manager to oversee evening operations and ensure an exceptional experience for our guests and team. This position is responsible for managing staff, maintaining service standards, handling guest concerns, enforcing policies, and ensuring the restaurant and bar operate efficiently throughout the evening shift. The Night Manager leads by example and helps create a positive, energetic atmosphere while protecting the standards and reputation of 3rd Base.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership Supervise bartenders, servers, cooks, security, and support staff during evening shifts. Ensure all employees are following company policies, dress code requirements, and service standards. Provide coaching and immediate feedback to employees when necessary. Maintain a professional, positive work environment. Assist with training new employees. Guest Experience Ensure guests receive excellent service. Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and uphold the reputation of 3rd Base. Support entertainment events, trivia nights, karaoke, live music, and special promotions. Operations Monitor food quality, ticket times, and overall speed of service. Ensure all opening, shift change, and closing procedures are completed properly. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, patio, bathrooms, and bar areas. Verify side work and shift duties are completed before employees leave. Ensure all coolers and service stations are stocked throughout the shift. Cash Handling & Accountability Oversee cash drawers and proper cash handling procedures. Ensure employees are accurately closing tabs and handling payments. Report shortages, discrepancies, or unusual situations immediately. Complete nightly paperwork and manager reports. Safety & Security Enforce responsible alcohol service and age restrictions. Work closely with security staff to maintain a safe environment. Address disruptive behavior and de-escalate issues professionally. Ensure employees are not consuming alcohol while working or after closing. Assist in emergency situations when needed. Facility Standards Walk the building regularly to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are being upheld. Communicate maintenance issues to management. Protect company assets and equipment. Qualifications Previous restaurant or bar management experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of food and beverage operations preferred. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and work in a high-energy environment for extended periods. Expectations The Night Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain a sense of urgency, and hold themselves and others accountable. This position requires professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to providing every guest with an outstanding experience. Schedule Primarily evenings and closing shifts. Weekends and special events required. Typical hours range from approximately 4:00 PM until close. Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
