Greenhouse Assistant Manager Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Greenhouse Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our greenhouse facility. This role focuses on team leadership, workflow coordination, and maintaining an efficient, organized, and safe working environment. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Greenhouse Manager to ensure operational goals are met while supporting overall plant production. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a team in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Duties Assist in managing daily greenhouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule Supervise, train, and support greenhouse staff to maintain productivity and quality standards Coordinate daily workflow, task assignments, and labor priorities Monitor and maintain greenhouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance Oversee inventory levels of supplies (soil, pots, tools, materials) and assist with ordering as needed Support irrigation and environmental systems to ensure proper operation (not primary grower responsibility) Assist with scheduling and time tracking for staff Help maintain greenhouse structures, equipment, and general facility upkeep Step in to support general greenhouse tasks (watering, moving plants, etc.) as needed Maintain basic operational records and assist in improving workflow efficiency Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in greenhouse operations, agriculture, landscaping, or related field Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively with a team Basic understanding of greenhouse systems and plant care (support level, not expert grower) Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment troubleshooting Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing, outdoor conditions) Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset

Pay:

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour
