Compensation:
$40,000/year salary + 0.5% commission on venue sales
Schedule:
40-50 hours per week expected; schedule varies based on weddings, events, tours, and guest stays

In person About Sandy Creek Farms Sandy Creek Farms is a 430-acre destination wedding and event venue in Springville, Tennessee. Our property features a private island, 22-acre lake, scenic event spaces, and eight unique overnight accommodations. We host weddings, private events, corporate groups, and overnight guests in a one-of-a-kind setting. We are looking for a dependable, professional, and hands-on Assistant Venue Manager to help oversee venue operations, guest hospitality, lodging readiness, venue tours, sales support, and event-day execution. Position Overview This is a hands-on hospitality and operations role. The Assistant Venue Manager will help make sure the venue, accommodations, event spaces, vendors, and guest experience are organized and ready before, during, and after events. This is not a desk-only position. Some days may involve giving venue tours, communicating with clients, inspecting cabins, coordinating with housekeeping, assisting vendors, helping with event setup, or solving guest needs on-site. Because weddings and events often happen on evenings and weekends, schedule flexibility is required. Some weeks will be busier than others depending on the event calendar. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily venue operations, weddings, private events, tours, and guest stays Help manage guest communication and booking-related questions for Airbnb/VRBO accommodations Inspect lodging before arrivals and after departures to ensure spaces are clean, stocked, and guest-ready Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, vendors, and event staff Assist with event logistics, including vendor arrivals, guest questions, setup, parking flow, and event-day support Support venue sales through tours, client communication, and follow-up Help maintain checklists, supplies, schedules, and communication between departments Respond professionally to guest, client, vendor, and team needs Represent Sandy Creek Farms with a positive, hospitality-focused attitude What Success Looks Like A successful Assistant Venue Manager helps keep the property, lodging, events, vendors, guests, and team organized. Guests feel taken care of, accommodations are ready on time, vendors know where to go, events are properly prepared, and management can trust that important details are not being missed. This Position Is a Good Fit For Someone Who Enjoys weddings, events, hospitality, and guest service Likes a mix of office, outdoor, guest-facing, and hands-on work Is organized, dependable, and calm under pressure Can notice what needs to be done without always being asked Enjoys improving systems, checklists, and processes Understands that events require flexibility, teamwork, and occasional evening or weekend work This May Not Be the Right Fit If You are looking for a strictly Monday-Friday desk job You are uncomfortable with weekends, evenings, or changing schedules You prefer every day to look the same You are not comfortable walking the property, inspecting accommodations, assisting guests, or helping with event setup Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience in hospitality, event services, wedding venues, vacation rentals, customer service, sales, or a related field Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable using email, text, booking platforms, and basic computer systems Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed Comfortable working outdoors and navigating a large property Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative Compensation & Benefits $40,000/year salary 0.5% commission on venue sales Company phone provided for business communication Company vehicle provided for on-property use Mileage reimbursement available when a personal vehicle is used for approved off-property business needs Paid time off opportunities may be available as tenure, performance, and responsibilities progress After one year of employment, team members may be eligible for employee discounts on qualifying personal or family events hosted at Sandy Creek Farms Work at one of West Tennessee's most beautiful and unique wedding and event venues Opportunity to grow with Sandy Creek Farms as the venue continues to expand
