Job Description

The Manager I's primary function is to ensure that all requirements of the Performance Work Statement / Statement of Work (PWS / SOW) are met or exceeded in the Manager I's operational facility to include managing, coordinating, and integrating corporate resources (human, material, facility, capital) to ensure full compliance with the PWS and all services are performed within quality standards, and cost objects supporting the mission of WSC. FT, Salary starting at $48,000 Please Include Resume Ensures all requirements of the PWS/SOW are met. Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed, maintaining a clean and safe work area, ensuring all employees are trained as required. Ensures staff are knowledgeable of the requirements and application of the PWS, SOW, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and personnel policies as required. Partner with contracting to ensure timely renewal of existing contracts. May be responsible for the financial planning, ordering processes, and inventory control to meet operation, and developing and monitoring budgeting activities. May assist company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, programs, and objectives. May direct and monitor department supervisors to accomplish goals of the
PWS / SOW.
May hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff, taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with CBA and / or WSC policy. Consults with Human Resources Department as appropriate. May implement training and certification programs to ensure that qualified applicants are available as vacancies occur. May develop contingency plans to sustain operations during shortages, inclement weather, and other unforeseen circumstances. Competencies Leadership. Project Management. Communication. Supervisory Responsibility This position manages all employees in the operational facility and is responsible for the performance management, and discipline, and may include the hiring of the employees within the operational facility. Work Environment This job operates in both a professional office environment and various operational settings. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions such as extreme heat and / or cold, exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration, and the noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit, and employee is required to talk and hear, stand for up to 8 hours at time; walk for up to 8 hours at a time; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, forty hours per work, occasional evening and weekend work will be required. Due to the nature of the position, will be required to be available to respond to employee concerns and emergencies during off working hours. Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected for conferences. Required Education and Experience High school graduate or GED required. Two years' supervisory experience required. Basic knowledge of various equipment used in accordance with the contracts

Computer literate. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
