Hospitality & Entertainment - 2.5 Arlington, TX Job Details 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Hospitality industry experience Food and beverage industry expertise Managing food service teams Teaching Full Job Description Texas Live!, a partnership between The Cordish Companies and the Texas Rangers, is a dynamic $250 million world-class dining, entertainment and hospitality district nestled between the Texas Rangers' Globe Life Park and the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium in the heart of Arlington, TX. The project is part of a greater $1.25 billion vision for the Arlington stadium district that features a new Rangers ballpark; 200,000 square feet of best-in-class restaurants, retail and entertainment venues; a full-service 300-room convention hotel; 35,000 square feet of meeting/convention space; and a 5,000-capacity outdoor event pavilion. Assistant General Manager Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Control the day-to-day operations of the venue within the policies and guidelines set forth by the company, including the ensurance of appropriate levels of staffing. Maintain a professional company image, including restaurant and bar cleanliness, proper uniforms and appearance standards. Control Profit & Loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports and taking appropriate actions to include maintaining appropriate stock of liquor, beer and other bar or restaurant products. Maintain cost of goods sold, nightly comps, nightly recap reports and safe audits by overseeing inventory counts. Respond to customer service needs to provide the highest standards of service. Assist the General Manager in the management of third-party vendor contracts. Complete financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies. Recruit, interview and hire supervisory and hourly team members; train, supervise and motivate; take disciplinary action and terminate supervisory and hourly team members when necessary. Train employees, as assigned, in an ongoing basis. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Manage all third-party entertainment vendors, as well as Entertainment Director, if applicable. Assists with ensuring the daily deposits have been deposited, safe counts conducted and venue's cash is secured at all times. Assistant General Manager Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred. Must have 1-3 years leadership experience in a fast paced hospitality food and beverage environment and have proven ability to thrive in such environment. Good people management skills, communication and listening skills. Proven ability to lead a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing. Must be flexible and adaptable to change. Demonstrated time management and organizational skills. Must be internally motivated and detail oriented and have a passion for teaching others. Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be at least 21 years of age. The Assistant General Manager position requires the ability to perform the following: Moving safely and efficiently about the facilities. Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds. Handling food, objects, products, and utensils. Bending, stooping, kneeling.
