One-year minimum preferred About Our Family We're a strong Christian family of six in Cedar Park with four children. We homeschool, we're active, and our home is full of life. We're looking for a warm, capable, and proactive person who loves children to become a trusted, long-term part of our daily rhythm. Someone who is just as comfortable caring for our little one as lending a hand around the house. About the Role This is a blended role, and the heart of it is caring for our youngest. On a typical week you'll care for our preschooler; playtime, outings to the park or library, lunch, and a nurturing, engaged presence, while also helping our home run smoothly with light housekeeping, cooking, grocery orders, and the occasional errand. Because we homeschool and our week shifts with co-op, preschool, and outside activities, the balance between childcare and household help changes from day to day. Some mornings are full hands-on days with our little one; others are more about helping around the house while we do school with the older children. We're looking for someone flexible who can move between the two without missing a beat. Think of it as part nanny, part mother's helper, part household helper - all in service of a calmer, more peaceful home. What You'll Do Childcare Care for our preschooler; play, outings (park, library), lunch, and a warm, engaged presence Full mornings where our youngest is in your care while we homeschool the older children Step in with the kids wherever an extra set of hands is needed; this varies week to week Around the Home Light tidying throughout the home, with a focus on common areas and the kitchen Kitchen cleanup and dish management throughout the day Lunch prep most days; help with dinner prep or meals from family recipes Grocery ordering (HEB), pickup, and putting away
Laundry:
washing, folding, and putting away Keeping fridge, freezer, and pantry organized and stocked General help keeping the household organized and running Errands & Extras Occasional errands and pickups (an extra set of hands to run out is always welcome) Managing returns (Amazon, UPS); we'll grant the necessary access Restocking household basics (paper goods, batteries, light bulbs) There's real room for the role to grow - additional hours and household responsibility - for the right person as trust and rhythm are established. What We're Looking For Genuinely loves young children. Warm, patient, playful, and intuitive Proactive and dependable; sees what needs doing and jumps in Works well independently, with open and steady communication Flexible about a schedule that shifts week to week Confident in the kitchen and happy to cook (comfortable with Instant Pot, oven, and family recipes) Strong personal values and discretion; trustworthy with our home, finances, and family information Reliable transportation; able to pass a background check Nice to have: Prior experience as a nanny, mother's helper, or in a professional household role, and/or a background in early childhood or child development.
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Work Location:
In person
