Playing a mix of Hip Hop, Jazz, & R&B music while you dine. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager to help lead our culinary team with enthusiasm and expertise. You will work with the Executive Chef to manage day to day operations. In this pivotal role, you will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensure exceptional food quality, and maintain a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your leadership will drive the team to deliver outstanding dining experiences, manage food production and safety standards, and uphold the highest levels of hospitality. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, fine dining setting. Must be available to work anytime between the hours of 9am and 2am. Duties Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish. Lead and motivate the culinary team through effective team management, training, and mentorship to foster a positive work culture. Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste while ensuring all ingredients and supplies are available for daily operations. Plan menus in collaboration with executive chefs or management, incorporating dietary requirements and catering needs. Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests. Manage shift scheduling, ensuring proper staffing levels for smooth service during busy periods. Coordinate with the catering department for banquet events, special functions, and large-scale food production projects. Monitor food quality during service, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in food production, restaurant management, or kitchen supervision within a fast-paced environment. Extensive banquet experience along with strong background in fine dining cuisine. Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Knowledge of dietary department standards and catering operations. Strong skills in inventory control, food handling, and kitchen management practices. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork. Proficiency in menu planning, food safety protocols, and food service management systems. Hands-on cooking skills complemented by experience in food preparation and food industry best practices. Familiarity with hospitality standards including serving techniques, bartending skills (a plus), and restaurant experience.
