This pivotal role involves managing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining exceptional customer service. The Kitchen Manager will foster a positive team environment, uphold quality standards, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced food service setting. Responsibilities Assist Chef with overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Supervise kitchen staff by providing training, coaching, and development to foster a skilled and motivated team. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards to maintain a safe working environment. Handle cash transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems; oversee cash handling procedures. Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and ensure smooth shift transitions for efficient service delivery. Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming dining experience. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurant environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS ; experienced in cash handling and transaction processing. Demonstrated supervisory experience with skills in staff training, team management, and interviewing potential team members. Extensive background in food safety practices, inventory control, and food handling procedures. Experience in managing operations within casual dining or fine dining establishments; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
