As a Restaurant Coach , you'll lead by example, mentor your team, and drive daily operations to ensure excellence in service, food quality, cleanliness, and team culture. Think of this role as a General Manager with a coaching mindset—focused on developing people, hitting performance targets, and running a smooth, high-volume operation. What You'll Do Lead and coach your team through every shift to deliver Zalat's high standards for safety, cleanliness, speed, and quality. Manage all daily operational responsibilities, including scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and executing company checklists (e.g. Jolt, PECs). Oversee purchasing, receiving, inventory control, and accounting processes to ensure operational and financial efficiency. Maintain the facility and equipment, ensuring everything is clean, safe, and functional. Recruit, train, and develop Zealots (our team members), fostering a positive and productive environment. Handle payroll, scheduling, and labor cost management. Monitor customer feedback and coach the team to continuously improve service and satisfaction. Track and optimize controllable costs to meet profitability goals. Uphold all food safety and health standards.
Experience & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment. Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Must hold or obtain a valid Food Manager Safety Certification. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Successful sign-off by a Certified Training Restaurant (CTR) Completion of all Opus training courses Approval from a Zalat Training Coordinator or Director of Training Must pass a mandatory background check. Must be available to work high-volume blackout shifts: Halloween (and closest Saturday), Super Bowl Sunday, New Year's Eve. Compensation & Benefits:
