Managers assume responsibility for all functions of the restaurant to ensure high-quality products and guest service are delivered to ensure restaurant profitability. This is accomplished by being a self-sufficient leader, making quality decisions, and instilling pride and accountability in team members. Management of operations, including the execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices. Share feedback with the team and use feedback to improve restaurant operations and build brand loyalty.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Demonstrates math skills, ability to speak, read, and write using the English language, must possess excellent guest service, verbal communication skills, outgoing personality, be comfortable suggesting items to guests, and must maintain a positive attitude.
- Provide quality products to our customers by building a system of quality with team members, which ensures each delivered product meets Soliz standards and accurately reflects the customer's order.
- Cross-trained in all stations of the restaurant and able to maintain a position at any given time.
- Solicit customer feedback, share feedback with the team, and use feedback to improve restaurant operations and build brand loyalty.
- Actively recruit customer-focused team members, maintain adequate staffing levels according to projected sales, properly orient and train team members to exceed customer expectations, ensure compliance with uniform and appearance standards, establish, and communicate performance expectations, and conduct timely and effective performance reviews.
- Document performance issues and take appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
- Effectively coach and develop team members to ensure the entire team is quality and customer-focused; and build an atmosphere of teamwork, energy, and fun.
- Seek additional sales through traditional and non-traditional methods by executing creative local restaurant marketing and catering creating a positive presence in the community.
- Manage profit goals against budget and prior year; ensure food, labor and other controllable costs stay within budget, and correct deviations from the budget.
- Develop and implement appropriate plans to resolve unfavorable trends and enhance profits.
- Execute administrative and cash management duties.
- Plan and manage adequate inventory levels using the restaurant's computerized inventory system to meet sales demands and minimize loss.
- Manage company's assets by ensuring the restaurant is clean and fully equipped and all equipment operates properly; ensure the restaurant always meets safety and security standards; oversee preventative maintenance and repairs when necessary.
- Report to work as scheduled, on time, well groomed, and dressed properly.
- Greet and serve guests in a prompt, friendly, professional way.
- Knowledge of all menu items.
- Be familiar with the location's specials and communicate that to the team.
- Take food and drink orders promptly and accurately on POS.
- Pick up orders in the window and deliver completed meals to the correct guests promptly.
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, refill drinks, and take any additional orders.
- Adhere to Steps of Service
- Knowledge of The POS and how to check out guests and other base functions.
- Handle guests' complaints in a calm, courteous manner. Inform the supervisor of any customer complaints or suggestions.
- Responsible for training new team members.
- Knowledge and the ability to place orders/purchasing of goods for the restaurant.
- Ensure all closing and financials are completed by the end of the shift or close of the day.
- Assist in onboarding, employee management, or forms.
- Handle all Catering Orders and other functions to that of restaurant leadership and ensure that the guest is taken care of.
- Build a schedule and send for approval.
- Restock service areas.
- Keep service areas clean and complete all assigned cleaning tasks.
- Respond quickly to sweeping and mopping up messes, and bus tables when busy.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the area manager.
- Complete all side work for service areas during shift.
- Ability to operate all electrical or mechanical devices adhering to all safety rules.
- Ability to maintain proper attitude, professionalism, and teamwork in customer service and restaurant operations.
- Ability to tolerate cleaning solutions regularly.
- Maintain stocked and clean restrooms with scheduled service checks during shift.
- Answers all phone calls. Activities include but are not limited to, walking, or standing for 6 to 8 hours at a time, reaching, stooping, lifting to 50 pounds, carrying, talking, and sitting. Must have reliable transportation.
