Kitchen Manager - B&B Theatres - Suites Salaried Full-Time Salary Starting at $37.440.00 B&B Theatres in Wylie, TX is seeking a Kitchen Manager to be the cornerstone of our culinary operations. In this pivotal role, you will directly supervise and coordinate our dedicated kitchen team, ensuring the seamless preparation and delivery of exceptional food. You will be instrumental in upholding the efficiency, quality, and safety of our kitchen, directly contributing to a positive guest experience. Your leadership will guide our kitchen staff in maintaining our high standards of culinary excellence and fostering a productive, harmonious work environment. Key Responsibilities As our Kitchen Manager, you will: Oversee all back-of-house operations, ensuring all menu items are prepared to brand standards and delivered with the efficiency required to meet strict showtime windows. Recruit, schedule, and train kitchen staff. Foster a culture of excellence and accountability, ensuring the team is well-versed in both safety protocols and high-speed service execution. Direct all procurement, receiving, and storage processes. Actively monitor food costs (COGS), minimize waste through strict portion control, and conduct accurate weekly inventory counts to maintain budgetary compliance. Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures for food presentation and taste. Conduct regular line checks to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction throughout all service hours. Maintain a 100% compliance rate with local health department regulations and B&B Theatres' internal food safety standards. Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly deep-cleaning schedules to ensure an impeccable kitchen environment. Collaborate closely with the other management and front-of-house leadership to synchronize kitchen output with guest flow. Provide regular reporting on labor, waste, and menu performance. Maintain a calm, professional demeanor during high-volume periods, special screenings, or banquet functions, effectively delegating tasks and pivoting operations to address immediate challenges. General Qualifications We are looking for a candidate with: A minimum of 4 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced dining environment. You must have a comprehensive understanding of food preparation techniques, menu execution, and the ability to maintain consistent food quality under the time pressures inherent in theatre showtimes. A proven track record of recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing kitchen team. You should excel at fostering a positive culture while managing daily line operations and delegating tasks effectively to ensure peak service efficiency. Strong proficiency in managing food costs, waste reduction, and inventory control. You must be comfortable with ordering, vendor relations, and adhering to strict budgetary guidelines to drive the profitability of our kitchen operations. Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. You must hold a current ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification (or have the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire). The ability to make sound decisions and maintain composure during high-traffic periods, special events, or banquet functions. You should be a proactive problem-solver who can handle guest concerns with professionalism and grace. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as these are peak operational times for our theatre.
