JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deli Manager will train, coach and observe team members in serving guests Strong knowledge of the full workings of the deli department including proper inventory control with ordering Ability to teach team members the fundamental operations of equipment - proofing, grilling, frying, slicing, etc. Deli Manager needs knowledge and willingness to implement marketing strategy, cross merchandising and sales goals throughout department Manage sales, margins, labor-scheduling and department standards Proficient in all store technology (Ordering, POS system, etc.) Deli manager needs to keep a clean well organized working environment while following all cleaning and sanitizing procedures Strong leadership skills, written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, and attention to detail. Encourage coordination and communication with other store departments to ensure a smooth flow of products and service throughout the store Ability to deescalate high stress situations with customers and team members Adhere to the store uniform guidelines and maintain a clean professional appearance Adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations Perform additional duties as assigned
NOTES:
Ability to work weekends, evenings and holiday shifts Food Handlers Permit must be obtained ServSafe Permit must be obtained
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. This job also requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire workday; up to 8 hours. Team members are regularly required to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds from location to location.
