We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team and lead our kitchen in delivering exceptional food that pairs perfectly with our brews.
Job Description:
As the Kitchen Manager at 2 Row Brewing, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring that our food is of the highest quality and consistency while maintaining a smooth, efficient kitchen environment. You'll manage a team of kitchen staff, develop menus, maintain inventory, and ensure food safety standards are followed at all times.
Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor the kitchen team, ensuring a high standard of performance, teamwork, and professionalism. Create, design, and periodically update menu items that complement our craft beer offerings. Maintain inventory levels and order food supplies as needed, while ensuring cost control and minimizing waste. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean, safe working environment. Supervise food prep, cooking, and presentation to ensure all dishes meet quality standards. Collaborate with brewery management to align kitchen operations with overall business goals and events. Train and develop kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols. Handle scheduling and timekeeping for kitchen staff. Manage daily kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, preparing dishes, and ensuring food is served promptly. Assist with budgeting and cost management for kitchen operations. Maintain positive relationships with other departments (e.g., front-of-house, brewery staff) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a kitchen leadership or management role, preferably in a fast-paced or brewery setting. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, inventory management, and food safety standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a high-volume environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Passion for craft beer and an understanding of how food and beer pairings enhance the guest experience. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
