• School Food Service We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Kitchen Manager to oversee daily food service operations in a school setting managed by our food management company.

This is a working manager position responsible for overseeing meal preparation, maintaining food safety standards, coordinating kitchen staff, and ensuring meals are served efficiently each school day. This role follows the school calendar and offers a consistent daytime schedule with evenings, weekends, holidays, school breaks, and summers off while continuing to receive salaried pay during summer months. Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen and meal service operations Supervise and assist kitchen staff during food preparation and service Maintain sanitation, food safety, and organizational standards Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies Follow company procedures and school nutrition program requirements Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule Maintain a professional and team-oriented work environment Qualifications Previous kitchen, cafeteria, or food service experience preferred Supervisory or lead experience helpful but not required Reliable attendance and ability to work in a structured environment Ability to lead by example in a hands-on kitchen setting Knowledge of food safety practices preferred School nutrition experience is a plus, but training is provided Benefits 401(k) with matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid training Paid time off Schedule Monday-Friday Day shift only No nights or weekends
