Front of House Manager Chester, VA 23836 From $55,000 a year - Full-time From $55,000 a year - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead daily operations at our casual sit-down restaurant. The FOH Manager will be responsible for supervising and developing the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth service, and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role includes overseeing staff scheduling, training, and performance, while maintaining high standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to build and motivate a successful team.
Compensation Starting salary:
$55,000 Bonus potential: Up to $10,000 annually Responsibilities Oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. Lead, train, and motivate FOH staff to deliver exceptional hospitality. Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance. Maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized dining environment. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company service standards. Monitor guest satisfaction and handle escalated service issues professionally. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain consistent service flow. Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Track labor costs, manage budgets, and help drive sales and profitability. Support and execute special events, promotions, and company initiatives. Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management skills Knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service best practices Basic financial and analytical skills (scheduling, labor, and cost control) Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
