In this pivotal role, you will support the overall operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient inventory control, and effective team leadership. Your energetic approach will help drive sales, optimize store performance, and foster a positive shopping environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills while managing daily store functions and contributing to a thriving retail environment. Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and cash handling procedures. Lead and supervise staff by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity. Oversee customer service standards to ensure a positive shopping experience; handle escalated customer inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm. Coordinate merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, stocking, and promotional displays to maximize sales. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates, employee orientation, and onboarding processes. Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and maintain accurate financial records aligned with company policies. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, inventory management, and reporting; ensure accuracy in cash handling and cashiering duties. Assist in marketing initiatives to promote store events and increase community engagement; oversee shift management to ensure smooth daily operations. Implement inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels; conduct regular stock checks and inventory audits. Uphold health and safety standards within the store environment; ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases. Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, customer service excellence, and conflict resolution. Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, and merchandising principles. Experience with POS systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory control, and cash handling procedures. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently through excellent organizational skills and time management. Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with phone etiquette expertise; comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring quick thinking and adaptability.
