Responsibilities Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and consistency. Support menu planning and ensure adherence to recipes, portion control, and food safety regulations. Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement. Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Assist with shift management duties such as scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth operational flow during busy periods. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all kitchen activities, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Collaborate with the catering to coordinate special events and large-scale food production needs. Requirements Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, or restaurant experience with a focus on fine dining or hospitality environments. Demonstrated supervising experience with strong leadership skills in managing diverse teams. Knowledge of dietary department protocols, food safety regulations, and inventory management practices. Hands-on experience in food preparation, catering, menu planning, and shift management within the food industry. Familiarity with culinary techniques such as cooking methods, food handling procedures, and kitchen equipment operation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively lead staff and coordinate with other departments such as service or event planning.
