Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Club Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for managing all daily Clubhouse services throughout all dining areas, Banquets, Club Events, membership and non-golf related activities of the Clubhouse, and assuring that the wants and needs of the club members and guests are consistently exceeded. Provide for a cohesive environment bringing together all divisions of the SCC Clubhouse operations. Plan and implement budgets, hire, train, and supervise subordinates.
Develops on-going professional development and training programs for service staff. Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages. Attends all F&B related Committee meetings and ensures integration and coordination of all social events. This position is the liaison to the Social Committee and House Committee.
Specific Responsibilities:
Food & Beverage:
Oversee the quality, style and flow of the dining facility service, banquet operations and bar operations with the Executive Chef, Dining Room and Banquet Personnel.Develops on-going professional development and training programs for service staff. Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages. Attends all F&B related Committee meetings and ensures integration and coordination of all social events. This position is the liaison to the Social Committee and House Committee.
Event Marketing & Sales:
Execute Event Marketing Plans and Sales efforts focused on new growth, retention of existing functions and profitable external special events. Increase annual revenue through developing programs to encourage membership and business community use of all facilities. Return all messages in a 24 hour timeframe.Member Relations:
Ensure that all members and guests of members receive the highest level of personalized service. Assists in membership database updates. Responsible for all membership communication through social media and our communication apps regarding member programs, club events, private functions and new initiatives, etc. Resolve all member problems and complaints in a 24 hour timeframe.Staffing:
Ensure that the highest quality individuals are selected to work in the operation. Comprehensive training of each associate is a key responsibility of the position as well as periodic reviews and ongoing training initiatives. Ability to produce & execute a staff schedule.Financial:
Ability to analyze financial operations of facility and make changes and recommendations to meet financial forecasts. Ensure daily accounting and audit procedures are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. This includes daily revenue reporting in the Food and Beverage Departments, monthly inventory, budgeting and payroll reporting using approved Club Operating Procedures.Education and Experience Requirements:
Two or Four-year college degree; preferably in Hospitality or Business Management. Experience in food & beverage, restaurant and banquet management.REASONING ABILITY
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
•Valid Driver's License, CPR, ServeSafe andVABC MART, RADD, RSVP
training recommended.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; bend; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 20•50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.COMPUTER & TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
•Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Club POS applications and Internet applications. Familiarity with Canva, Publisher, Adobe and various social media platforms is desirable.SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
