About Us The International Pitch (IP) is a revolutionary soccer-themed sports eatertainment concept that channels the infectious spirit of global soccer into unforgettable experiences where guests can revel in "World Cup spirit all year long." The IP is a high-energy community gathering hub like no other that caters to families, friends, and fans looking to celebrate the joy of play in a welcoming and immersive environment. In addition to a nonstop schedule of soccer matches and major sporting events showcased through a stunning AV system, guests can enjoy interactive virtual and live soccer skill games and relax in the outdoor Kick Yard, all while indulging in a multicultural food and beverage menu unlike anything else in the region. At The IP, staff are committed to delivering an unparalleled dining and entertainment experience and believe in the power of sports and great food and drink to build community. The flagship location is slated to open in summer, 2026 in the heart of Yorkshire, Virginia—just 4 miles from Downton Manassas and 30 miles from D.C. Key Responsibilities The Beverage Program Manager and Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager and ownership team to lead all beverage program operations and establish a high-performing and professional bar culture. Specifically, he/she will: Lead the design and execution of an internationally inspired drink menu that ensures alignment with brand standards and guest expectations. Oversee all day-to-day bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and profitability. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and develop bartenders, barbacks, and other bar staff while fostering a positive, high-performance team culture. Manage beverage programs, including beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings, to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue. Maintain inventory controls, oversee purchasing and receiving, conduct regular inventory counts, and manage beverage costs, waste, and loss prevention initiatives. Ensure compliance with all applicable alcohol service, health, safety, labor, and regulatory requirements. Monitor financial performance through sales analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and cost-control measures. Develop and implement operational procedures, service standards, and training programs to support consistency and continuous improvement. Coordinate bar operations for special events, promotions, and high-volume sporting events, ensuring appropriate staffing and inventory levels. Build strong relationships with guests, address customer concerns professionally, and cultivate a welcoming and engaging atmosphere. Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and proper functioning of bar facilities, draft systems, equipment, and point-of-sale systems. Collaborate with senior leadership and other department managers to achieve organizational goals and support overall venue success. Support and enhance the brand identity by helping create memorable matchday experiences, supporter engagement initiatives, and themed promotions. Fill in for General Manager as needed. Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue growth. Qualifications and Experience 6-8+ years of progressive beverage program leadership experience in a similar role, preferably with new restaurant opening experience. Proven creativity and a passion for internationally inspired cocktails. Proven understanding of gastronomic beverage science. Proven expertise in selecting, storing, and pairing beer. Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen. Experience within entertainment-driven hospitality, or "eatertainment" concepts is a major plus. Deep knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory management, and kitchen systems. Ability to lead and motivate diverse culinary teams in fast-paced environments.
