Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Restaurant Manager to hire and lead a dynamic food service team. The Inn at Montross is a 1700's Inn and Tavern that has been taking overnight guests for 6 months and it in the process of restarting its restaurant and bar functions. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant, food and alcohol operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership will drive team performance, streamline processes, and foster a welcoming environment that encourages growth and excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant establishment within the food industry, utilizing your culinary knowledge and management expertise to deliver outstanding service. Duties Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness to ensure a seamless guest experience Supervise staff training, development, and scheduling to maintain a motivated and efficient team Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and monitoring stock levels to reduce waste and optimize costs Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures across the kitchen and front-of-house areas Lead shift management by coordinating staff assignments, resolving customer concerns promptly, and maintaining operational flow Conduct interviewing and hiring processes for new team members to build a skilled workforce aligned with company standards Requirements Proven management experience in a quick service & fast food restaurant or casual dining environment with supervising responsibilities Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with fine dining or catering experience preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential Demonstrated skills in inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices within the food industry Exceptional customer service skills coupled with leadership qualities to motivate teams and enhance guest satisfaction Knowledge of food safety regulations, hospitality management principles, and culinary best practices Previous experience in hospitality management or hotel-related roles is advantageous; assistant manager experience is a plus Join us as a Restaurant Manager where your leadership will inspire excellence!
