Assistant Manager-Racking Installaton

Coastal Material Handling is the leading material-handling equipment supplier in Virginia. We install industrial pallet racking of all shapes and sizes in warehouses across Virginia and North Carolina. We are also a full-service forklift dealer. We are looking for a Warehouse & Installation Asst. Manager to manage installation team, both on-site and on-the-road. Objectives of this Role Experienced leader with ability to multi-task and used to being hands on. This is a labor heavy position with high attention to detail. The position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of CMH Warehouse, Delivery, and Installation crews. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations (warehousing, delivery, and carrier operations), and planning the use of materials and warehouse personnel. The right candidate is a motivated self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to communicate reasonable expectations to associates and operational needs to the Manager and Ops Manager. Critical Duties -

• Can do attitude.
• Manage 3-8 employees daily.
• Monitor time sheets and labor plan according to workload and business needs.
• Plan and execute daily functions in warehouse.
• Pro-actively maintain productive work and create "to do" items for longer term needs.
• Regular cycle counting and accuracy of inventory maintained.
• Facility maintenance-power washing etc.
• Protect and maintain company assets.
• Critical thinking and understanding of business needs.
• Ability to do computer tasks with office outlook.
• Turn time sheets in weekly with accurate times.
• Ensure break times/lunches are correct.
• Receive and note stock in inventory.
• Ensure customer pick-ups are QC'd and accurate, including 3PL pickups.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety protocol.
• Execute monthly, bi-monthly safety/protocol meetings with associates.
• Work with sales and upper management to execute installation jobs as scheduled.
• Using our geo fencing software and on-site requirements, monitor installation crew.
• Assist and participate in installations.
• Ensure expert and professional demeanor in client's businesses.
• Report any issues back to Operations Manager and Owner. Position reports to Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager. This is a hands on, working position with approx. 10% administration and the need to be present in the field. This is not an office/desk position. We Offer-
• Salary range of $22-26hr to start experience depending on skillset.
• Mon-Fri 7:30-4:30pm.
• We work in Richmond occasionally which requires overnights.
• Weekends as needed but that's based on customer needs and not often.
