Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, syrups, pastries, and other supplies. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to retail math principles. Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Stay updated on new menu items and promotions to effectively upsell products. Experience Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is beneficial.
