Kitchen Operations Manager Position Summary Triangle Tavern is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead daily back-of-house operations in a busy, established neighborhood tavern. This role is responsible for maintaining food quality, recipe consistency, sanitation standards, prep systems, inventory control, and kitchen team accountability. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, calm under pressure, and comfortable leading from the line when needed. This position requires someone who can keep the kitchen clean, prepared, and consistent across breakfast, lunch, dinner, late-night service, and weekly specials. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily BOH operations across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night service Ensure consistent execution of recipes, portions, presentation, ticket times, and quality standards Maintain prep lists, par levels, station readiness, and opening/closing kitchen checklists Uphold sanitation, food safety, temperature logs, labeling, and health department standards Train, supervise, coach, and hold kitchen staff accountable to company expectations Assist with hiring and scheduling based on business needs and approved labor targets Monitor food cost, waste, portion control, and inventory usage Maintain accurate inventory levels, receive and inspect deliveries, and place orders as assigned Create and maintain cleaning schedules, equipment care routines, and maintenance logs Support the Kitchen Operations Manager with specials, menu rollouts, recipe execution, and operational feedback Communicate clearly with FOH management, kitchen staff, and leadership during prep and service Lead by example during peak periods and support the line as needed What We're Looking For Prior kitchen management, sous chef, or lead line cook experience Strong understanding of casual, high-volume kitchen operations Ability to lead a team while maintaining clear standards and accountability Comfortable training staff and correcting issues in real time Experience with inventory, ordering, food cost, waste control, and prep planning Organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure Willing to work hands-on during busy services Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods Equipment & Tools Commercial fryers, griddles, ovens, flat tops, mixers, slicers, and prep equipment Temperature logs, labeling systems, cleaning checklists, and sanitation tools Scheduling apps, email, mobile communication, and basic office technology About Triangle Tavern Triangle Tavern is a Longview tradition with strong roots, a loyal guest base, and a fast-paced menu built around tavern classics, breakfast, burgers, wings, steaks, sandwiches, and weekly specials.
