We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support our culinary leadership team and help drive excellence in our kitchen operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated culinary professional who thrives in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment and is passionate about food quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Position Overview The Sous Chef works closely with the Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure consistent food quality, and maintain efficient execution during service. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in leading, training, and developing kitchen staff to maintain high standards of execution and professionalism Support daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and sanitation Lead kitchen operations during shifts and ensure smooth service execution Assist with scheduling and labor management to meet operational goals Help maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Participate in inventory management, food ordering, and product receiving Monitor portion control, waste reduction, and food cost initiatives Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards Coach team members and foster a positive, accountable kitchen culture Collaborate on menu development, features, and seasonal specials What We're Looking For Previous leadership experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant Strong line cooking skills and the ability to work all stations as needed Scratch kitchen experience using fresh, quality ingredients Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building abilities Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Proficiency with basic computer programs for scheduling, inventory, and reporting Job Type Full-time 10-hour shifts Day shift Evening shift In person Join a hospitality company that values its people, guests, and community.
