About Us Clove Indian Cuisine is a vibrant, authentic Indian restaurant located in Renton, WA, dedicated to bringing rich flavors and exceptional hospitality to our community. We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to oversee our daily operations, lead our team, and ensure an unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Job Description As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the total operations of the restaurant, including front-of-house (FOH) hospitality, back-of-house (BOH) coordination, financial management, and staff leadership. You will work closely with the owners to maintain high standards of food quality, service, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations:
Oversee day-to-day shifts, ensuring smooth service, guest satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate front and back-of-house staff. Create a positive and collaborative work environment.
Financial Management:
Manage labor costs, food costs, and inventory. Handle daily cash drops and POS reporting.
Vendor & Inventory Control:
Order supplies, manage relationships with local and specialized Indian ingredient vendors, and minimize waste.
Guest Relations:
Address customer feedback with grace and use it to continuously improve restaurant operations.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
1-2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience (required). Experience in an Indian restaurant or familiarity with Indian cuisine is highly preferred.
Language Skills:
Fluency in Hindi (Required) and English (Required). Ability to effectively communicate with Hindi-speaking kitchen staff, vendors, and guests is essential for this role.
Certifications:
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Washington State Food Worker Card and King County MAST (Alcohol Server) Permit within 30 days of hire.
Availability:
Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Skills:
Strong leadership, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with restaurant POS systems.
Benefits & Compensation Salary:
