General Manager Exterior Estate Operations (Horticulture & Field Leadership)

Overview The Estate Butler is a premium exterior estate management company serving high-end residential properties throughout the Seattle area. We are not a traditional landscaping company. We specialize in the complete management of exterior environments, serving as a single point of responsibility for everything outside the home. This includes landscape maintenance, horticultural care, outdoor living environments, irrigation systems, pools, seasonal programs, and coordination of all related subcontractors. We are seeking a senior-level General Manager - Exterior Operations to lead field execution, manage multiple crews, oversee subcontractors, and ensure the highest standards of horticulture, quality, and client service. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced operator, not an entry or mid-level management position. Your Responsibilities Lead daily field operations across multiple high-end residential estates Oversee and actively maintain horticultural quality, plant health, and seasonal performance standards Manage and coordinate multiple crews in the field on a daily basis Oversee subcontractors for irrigation, pools, lighting, hardscape, and specialty exterior systems Ensure all properties consistently meet premium presentation and maintenance standards Act as a field-based leader, supporting crews and solving operational issues in real time Improve scheduling, routing, labor efficiency, and overall production performance Train and mentor crew leaders to maintain consistency, accountability, and quality standards Serve as a primary operational contact for high-end residential clients Track job performance, labor hours, production outcomes, and operational efficiency Work closely with ownership to improve systems and support company growth What We're Looking For (Required Experience) This role is intended for experienced professionals who already operate at a senior level. Strong horticultural knowledge and plant expertise is required 5+ years of experience in landscape operations, estate management, or high-end exterior services Proven experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors simultaneously Strong background in hands-on field leadership and operational execution Experience working with high-end residential or estate-level clients Ability to maintain quality standards across multiple active job sites Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience improving operational systems, workflows, or team structure Valid driver's license required Preferred Experience Estate management or luxury residential landscape operations Crew leadership in high-end landscape maintenance or construction Subcontractor coordination across multiple exterior trades Irrigation, horticulture, or plant health specialization Compensation $100,000+ per year base salary (DOE) Performance-based bonus opportunities Profit sharing potential as the company grows Growth Opportunity This is a senior operational leadership role within a growing company.
