This role oversees daily operations, staffing, scheduling, labor management, training, and guest satisfaction while supporting the overall success and profitability of Kascadia Public House. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Staff Development Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop front-of-house team members. Create a positive, professional, and accountable work environment. Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary. Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities to staff. Foster teamwork between front-of-house and kitchen staff. Scheduling & Labor Management Create and maintain weekly staff schedules. Monitor labor costs and ensure labor goals are met. Adjust staffing levels based on business volume, events, and seasonality. Manage employee availability, time-off requests, and shift coverage. Guest Experience Ensure every guest receives friendly, attentive, and efficient service. Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally. Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak business hours. Build relationships with regular guests and contribute to a welcoming community atmosphere. Daily Operations Oversee opening, closing, and daily operational procedures. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, liquor, and company regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all guest-facing areas. Monitor service standards and ensure consistency across all shifts. Bar Operations & Beverage Program Oversee all bar staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management. Ensure compliance with all liquor laws, company policies, and responsible alcohol service standards. Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and guest experience. Monitor beverage costs, inventory levels, waste, and product usage. Collaborate with ownership on beverage menu development, pricing, seasonal offerings, and promotions. Train staff on new products, cocktails, beer selections, and upselling opportunities. Foster a positive and professional bar culture that aligns with Kascadia's hospitality standards. Menu Development & Seasonal Programming Collaborate with ownership and kitchen leadership to develop and execute seasonal menu updates and rotations. Assist in planning and launching new food and beverage offerings. Coordinate staff training to ensure team members are knowledgeable about menu changes, ingredients, allergens, and guest recommendations. Gather and communicate guest feedback regarding menu offerings and service trends. Support promotional events, limited-time features, and seasonal specials. Ensure smooth implementation of menu changes while maintaining service efficiency and guest satisfaction. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Assist with budgeting and cost-control initiatives. Monitor sales performance and key operational metrics. Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate daily reporting. Control waste and support inventory management efforts. Assist ownership with special projects, promotions, and operational improvements. Events & Community Engagement Support special events, live entertainment, promotions, and community activities. Coordinate staffing and operational needs for large parties and events. Help create memorable experiences that strengthen guest loyalty and drive repeat business. Qualifications Previous restaurant, bar, or hospitality management experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. Experience with scheduling software, POS systems, and labor management. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
