POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for ensuring food preparation, planning and quality control is completed to the highest standards of excellence. This position is year-round, full-time, and benefits-eligible.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

A. JOB DUTIES FOOD PREPARATION AND PLANNING
Provides oversight and guidance with food preparation staff to ensure all food is handled in accordance with safety guidelines. Plans and coordinates food preparation, usage, order placement and storage to meet daily and weekly customer demands. Responsible for ensuring food is used at it freshest by monitoring use by dates and ensuring that inventory is rotated regularly and not wasted. Responsible for coordinating schedules of food preparation staff with Station Manager. This position provides back-up to food preparation staff.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Provides professional courteous and efficient service at all times while interacting with customers in person and on the phone. The highest level of service is expected.
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED
Performs a variety of general duties, ordering, restocking products, cleaning and maintaining the facility, and other routine functions.
DRESS CODE
Employees will be given a company uniform to wear while on duty. Employees may wear black or blue jeans or khakis. Clothing must be kept in a clean and neat manner. Employees are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and a professional appearance. Employee must wear closed-toed non-slip shoes.

D. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS
(Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)
Education:
High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
Must have six months of previous work experience preferably in a retail environment. Must possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to supervisor and coordinate the food preparation staff.
Licensure/Certification:
Must possess an Alaska State Food Worker's Card and obtain a Serve-Safe certificate within 30-days from date of hire.
Other Qualifications:
Must be 21 years old to work in an environment that sells tobacco products. Incumbent must provide excellent customer service with respect, courtesy and efficiency and must be able to work cooperatively with others and possess the ability to make decisions according to pre-defined guidelines.
Attendance:
Regular attendance is a requirement of this position. This position could require overtime.
