Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education High school education or equivalent. Must have completed Servsafe Certification or enroll once hired. Experience Supervisory experience in food service preferred. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information. Normal food service environment. Occasional exposure to heat, steam and cold. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing within normal range. Distinguish smells and tastes. Distinguish temperature by touch and proximity. Uses telephone, computer, copier and department equipment. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. Frequent standing, walking and reaching.
JOB SUMMARY
The Nutritional Services Supervisor - Non-Certified is a member of the administrative team that provides high quality meal to all customers within budgeting guidelines. Is responsible for coordinating area functions with other areas to maintain an efficient operation with quality outcomes. Supervises day to day activities of the staff and operations of nutritional services patient services and assures compliance with hospital policies and procedures, missions and standards. Assigns duties and responsibly directs staff. Must communicate effectively with staff and customers. This position is required to utilize independent judgement.
