  • Part-time, Seasonal Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our team for the 2026 summer season at SkyHigh Pizza Bar .
This is a seasonal leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in food quality and presentation, and can help maintain an efficient and organized operation. SkyHigh Pizza Bar will operate Thursday through Saturday evenings from 5:00 PM
  • 8:00 PM , running June 18 through September 5, 2026 .
The Lead Line Cook will play a key role in daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to company standards while supporting a positive team environment. This job description is intended as a summary of the primary responsibilities of and the qualifications for the position. Prepare and cook menu items, including pizzas, fry items, and other offerings, according to recipes and quality standards Lead and support kitchen operations during service to ensure timely and accurate food preparation Perform kitchen opening and closing duties, including full set-up and clean-up of workstations and kitchen areas Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and storage spaces Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards Assist with food prep, ingredient preparation, and inventory organization as needed Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment Communicate effectively with team members and management to support smooth restaurant operations Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen atmosphere Other duties as assigned. Skills and Competencies Minimum 2 years in the food & beverage industry Excellent organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, as well as basic computer knowledge Understanding of nutrition, portion control, costing and elimination of food waste. CA ServSafe Managers certification Time management skills Understanding of food and labor costing Work Schedules Weather, snow conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Bear Valley employees. When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods
  • especially the holiday periods in December and the months of January and February
  • you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snow packed, and icy road. Uniforms A professional appearance at Bear Valley is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. This uniform is for work hours ONLY, no exceptions. You will be required to provide some items as part of your job. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Bear Valley logo while on shift.
