This is 6 to 6 12 hour rotating schedule. Rate ranges between $20 to $30 per hour! The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring staff productivity, quality service, safety, and adherence to company policies. This role acts as a key link between frontline employees and management, providing leadership, coaching, and operational support to meet business goals. The Shift Supervisor serves as the on‑site decision maker during their shift and plays a critical role in incident response, permit control, and operational continuity. In this role you will:
Prepares daily shift reports, production reports, and unit performance reports in a timely manner. Prepares incident reports and permitting documents in a timely manner. Manages the day-to-day operation of different units and their crew members. Ensures compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards. Collaborates with other departments, such as maintenance, to determine work order flow and ensures smooth operation. Approves operators' work requests and troubleshoots issues with operators. Manages day-to-day inventory based on production targets and goals. Identifies and resolves production issues, and implements continuous improvement initiatives. Reviews operators' daily records to ensure units are operating within the guidelines of the permits. Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and operating standards Serve as permit authority for hot work, confined space entry, and lockout/tagout Lead shift‑level safety meetings and toolbox talks Respond to spills, upsets, and emergencies; initiate incident reporting and secure the area as required Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DTSC, CUPA, and local regulatory requirements Directly supervise and assign work to operators and shift personnel Provide real‑time coaching, guidance, and corrective feedback Maintain clear shift handoffs and documentation to ensure continuity
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role supervises the following positions: All onsite crew members. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Knowledge of principles and facts related to the production, processing, storage, and distribution of manufacture goods. Strong safety leadership and decision‑making under pressure Clear written and verbal communication skills Problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability
REQUIREMENTS
: High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.). 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Refinery or related field. Prior experience in a lead operator or supervisory role Working knowledge of refinery equipment, processes, and safety systems As part of the Company's employment screening process, any applicant, to whom an offer of employment is made must pass a test for controlled substances, under the procedures of World Oil Drug & Alcohol policy.
