This position plays a key role in delivering great customer service, maintaining food quality and safety standards, supporting labor and deployment goals, and creating a clean, organized, and guest-ready restaurant. The Shift Leader is expected to lead by example, assist with shift direction, solve problems in real time, and help ensure each shift runs smoothly in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Help lead day-to-day shift operations and ensure excellent customer service Support the General Manager and Assistant Manager with shift execution and team accountability Direct team members during assigned shifts to ensure proper deployment and productivity Monitor food quality, order accuracy, speed of service, and cleanliness standards Coach and encourage team members to meet brand and service expectations Help train new employees on restaurant procedures, customer service, food safety, and station responsibilities Assist with cash handling, drawer counts, and proper register procedures Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Monitor dining room, front counter, drive-thru, and kitchen flow to support a smooth guest experience Help manage shift readiness, stocking, prep, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant Communicate shift issues, staffing concerns, equipment issues, or guest concerns to management promptly Assist with opening, mid, closing, and late-night shift responsibilities as assigned Support guest recovery and problem resolution in a professional and timely manner Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Requirements Previous restaurant, retail, or customer service management experience required minimum years Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Dependable attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, and move throughout the restaurant Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week , with additional hours based on business needs Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and late nights as needed Qualifications Quick service restaurant experience Cash handling and shift-running experience & leadership ServSafe Manager Certification Bilingual communication skills Schedule Expectations This role requires a minimum commitment of 20+ hours per week . Scheduling will be based on business needs, employee availability, and store staffing requirements. Shift Leaders may be scheduled for opening, mid, closing, weekend, holiday, and late-night shifts depending on store operations.
