Essential functions:
The Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily warehousing activities. The Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor will implement the daily required material output while overseeing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards. The Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor oversees training, supervising, and evaluating the performance standards for assigned warehouse employees. In addition, he/she will establish and implement assigned workloads to warehouse staff while ensuring assignments are successfully completed with efficiency. Responsibilities Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices Work with customers to answer questions and/or solve problems Determine staffing levels and assign workload from day to day Communicate job expectations and coach employees Ensure shipments and pick tickets are being administered accurately Make sure every customer/installer pick up is loaded accurately and double-checked with 2 signatures on every pick ticket Ensure trucks are being loaded accurately and safely Measure and report the effectiveness of warehouse activities and employee performance Monitoring and reporting employee errors and error remediation Manage pre-shift forklift walkthrough by making sure that one gets completed for every lift every day.
