This role is responsible for leading production teams, ensuring safe and efficient operations, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the production floor. Key Responsibilities Lead daily shift operations to meet production, safety, quality, and food safety goals. Coordinate staffing, schedules, line startups/shutdowns, changeovers, and workflow execution. Ensure GMP, sanitation, allergen, and regulatory compliance throughout operations. Monitor production performance, downtime, waste, and operational efficiency metrics. Troubleshoot production, equipment, and quality issues while driving corrective actions. Support hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and employee development. Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, Warehousing, and Planning teams. Lead shift communication, team huddles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food, beverage, dairy, aseptic, or high-speed packaging environments. 2-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Knowledge of GMP, food safety, sanitation, and regulated manufacturing environments. Mechanical aptitude and experience with manufacturing equipment and production systems preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/HMI systems preferred.
