The Receiving Room Lead will report directly to the Receiving Supervisor and will be tasked with managing the receiving operations within the room. This role encompasses receiving products from vendors, assessing the quality of the items received, ensuring accuracy, and preparing necessary documentation such as invoices. Additionally, the position involves offering training, guidance, and coaching to the Chuck Receivers.
General Responsibilities:
Receive front-quarter chucks through daily delivery. This includes inspecting the chucks to ensure they meet our quality standards such as visually inspecting for potential foreign materials, that the quantity received matches the quantity of beef ordered, ensuring that the harvest dates are within the approved freshness profile, filling out the necessary paperwork to confirm what was received, and communicating any discrepancies to a leader. Maintain chuck rotation within the chuck storage room to ensure that chucks are used in FIFO order. Assist with daily oversight of the Receiving Room. This includes assisting with the onboarding, training and development of the Chuck Receivers, as well as overseeing the safety and break schedule efforts. Will escalate matters to production leaders as necessary. Assist with setting up the room prior to receiving chucks and breaking down the room at the end of the shift in preparation for sanitation. Pay Range:
$28.00 to $31.00/hourly DOE The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors
Work Hours:
6AM-2:30PM 5 days per week (Rotating Schedule) Weekend and holiday availability required Excellent Benefits, to include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA's, 401(k)/
Profit Sharing Plan, Adoption Assistance, Education Reimbursement, Supplemental Health Plans and Pet Insurance Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. At least 2 years of experience in a Meat Processing Department is required. Prior leadership experience is required. Familiarity with GMPs and food safety protocols related to Meat Operations. Ability to work with strong critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail. Possess effective communication skills, interpersonal skills, and prioritization skills.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Ability to withstand varied weather conditions, such as cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings Will work in cold, damp environments.
