PURPOSE OF JOB

The Shift Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for shift performance—team energy, drink quality, speed of service, and customer experience. This role sets the tone, upholds standards, and leads the team in real time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide Outstanding Customer Experience Lead and model exceptional hospitality during each shift Resolve customer issues proactively and professionally Build relationships with regular customers and community members Coach team members to improve service and engagement Serve High-Quality Products Execute and enforce drink standards (espresso dialing, milk texture, recipe builds) Ensure team knowledge of coffee, menu, and offerings Taste products regularly for quality control Shift Operations (Mobile Coffee Truck) Safely operate company vehicles (Sprinter Van and Coffee Truck) Execute full truck setup, service, and breakdown Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual standards Coordinate with event managers for smooth execution Financial & Compliance Accountability Manage POS and cash handling procedures accurately Ensure adherence to wage/hour laws and meal break policies Maintain safe work practices and document incidents Train, Coach, Mentor Train and develop baristas using structured SOPs Provide real-time coaching and accountability Contribute to performance reviews and development plans

QUALIFICATIONS

1+ year specialty coffee or high-volume café experience Leadership or shift lead experience preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage a shift independently

REQUIREMENTS

Valid CA Driver's License with clean driving record Ability to operate a 21-ft coffee truck (training provided) Weekend and event availability required

• 31/hr depending on tier and tips
