Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and experienced Kitchen Cook to join our café team. This role is responsible for preparing breakfast and lunch items, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting smooth daily operations in a fast-paced café environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy. During slower periods, our team prepares ingredients, cleans, restocks, and gets ready for the next rush. We value people who take initiative without waiting to be told what to do. Schedule Morning / Midday shifts (approx. 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM) Must be available weekends (Friday-Saturday required) Responsibilities Prepare menu items (breakfast sandwiches, burritos, paninis, etc.) Follow recipes and portion standards consistently Handle multiple orders during rush periods Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards Prep ingredients and restock station during slow periods Assist with closing duties (cleaning, organization, prep for next day) Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience working in a café, restaurant, deli, sandwich shop, or fast-paced kitchen. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and stay organized during slow and busy periods. Strong sense of urgency and cleanliness. Able to multitask while maintaining quality. Must be punctual and dependable. Food Handler Certificate required Bilingual (English & Spanish) required. Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods. We need someone who understands kitchen pace, can manage tickets during rush periods, and takes ownership of their station.
