This role is perfect for someone with a passion for Italian cuisine, exceptional customer service skills, and proven leadership experience. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for managing team performance, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and delivering an outstanding dining experience. Your enthusiasm and management skills will inspire your team to work efficiently while maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere for guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership abilities within a dynamic hospitality environment. Responsibilities Supervise daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring smooth service flow and high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction Lead, train, and motivate team members in food preparation, service techniques, and safety procedures to foster a positive work environment Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy Oversee inventory control processes including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food management efficiency Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen and dining areas Assist with staff scheduling, interviewing potential team members, and conducting training & development sessions to build a skilled workforce Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellent hospitality Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within fast-paced restaurant settings Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in a quick service or casual dining environment Strong knowledge of Toast POS systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage diverse guest needs effectively Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, food safety protocols, and food production processes Ability to train staff on culinary techniques, food safety standards, and hospitality best practices Previous experience in restaurant management or food service management roles is highly desirable Join us as a Shift Lead to bring energy, expertise, and enthusiasm to our Italian restaurant team.
