Job Description

Lead Server / Supervisor — Cajun Kitchen Café (Santa Barbara/Chapala Location) Position Overview As the Lead Server / Supervisor at Cajun Kitchen Café (Chapala), your primary goal is to ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience. You'll help develop and inspire a positive, service-driven team while supporting management in achieving the café's operational and customer service goals.
Compensation & Benefits Hours:
35-40 hours per week
Hourly Wage:
$19.50 per hour
Tips:
Average $500-$700 weekly (credit card tips after tip-out; excludes cash tips)
Schedule:
5 serving shifts per week — weekends and holidays required
Shift Meal Allowance:
$16 per shift

Paid Time Off:
1 week (5 working days) per year
Training Program Location:
Training will take place at a separate Cajun Kitchen Café location (Goleta) to ensure a focused learning environment.
Duration:
1-2 months, depending on progress and performance.
Travel:
Some travel to the designated training site is required.
Program Highlights:
Hands-on experience in all areas of café operations, including front-of-house leadership, customer service, and kitchen coordination. Shadowing and mentorship from experienced management. Structured sessions on leadership, communication, and service excellence. Continuous feedback and performance evaluations to support your growth. Requirements Minimum 3 years of leadership experience Minimum 3 years of restaurant or café experience Strong knowledge of breakfast or café-style operations Computer literacy (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to lead under pressure and maintain a positive team environment Key Responsibilities Lead the front-of-house team while actively serving guests. Ensure every guest receives exceptional service and hospitality. Resolve guest issues, comments, and concerns with professionalism. Approve discounts, voids, and refunds as needed. Create and manage monthly
FOH & BOH
schedules to meet labor goals. Coach, train, and develop team members to reach performance expectations. Manage and maintain inventory levels and ordering processes. Oversee quality control to ensure consistency in food and service. Submit incident reports and other documentation as required. Promote a safe, compliant, and positive work environment. Enforce company standards, systems, and productivity goals. Collaborate with management to improve guest satisfaction, employee experience, and café performance.
