Salary:
Starting at $60k per year, depending on experience This position cleans and maintains all public exterior areas in a manner which reflects the high standard of excellence of the Harrah's Resort Southern California.
Our ideal candidate:
Prior Custodial, Groundskeeping or Housekeeping experience preferred. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to work, day, evenings, weekends, and holidays, any assigned shift. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes smokey environment. Must possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently.
About the role:
Must possess physical stamina and be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures ranging from below 40 degrees to over 115 degrees, as well as in various weather conditions such as fog, drizzle, rain, wind, and extreme heat. Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to cleanliness. Must exhibit the capacity of hearing in the full audible range in high noise conditions and possess average vision and color perception. Should be capable of stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and carrying heavy loads weighing at least 50 pounds, and maneuvering on level surfaces as well as up or down stairs. Is required to have the coordination and dexterity to drive golf cart, utilize a pressure washer and other cleaning equipment. Must be capable of providing information and directions to inquiring guests. Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation, and repair procedures of the property's equipment. Must be able to withstand heights and utilize a ladder to clean cobwebs, light fixtures and other high to reach cleaning areas. Needs to be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals. Must be able to complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to perform various cleaning tasks including using a ladder to clean high areas, cleaning walls, ceilings, floors, elevators, trash cans, loading docks, sidewalks, and other relevant areas. Responsible for emptying and cleaning trash cans in parking areas, removing, or transporting items as assigned, and utilizing deck brushes or floor scrubbers to mop, sweep, and clean floor stains. Required skillset includes performing proper cleaning procedures for bloodborne pathogens. Must meet the attendance guidelines and adheres to departmental and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
