Job Description

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the therapeutic milieu and daily operations of a shelter and group home program serving behaviorally challenging adolescent girls under the supervision of the Program Director. The role ensures the program operates in a safe, therapeutic, effective, and trauma-informed manner while supporting the emotional, behavioral, and daily living needs of residents. The Supervisor provides direct supervision, guidance, training, and performance evaluations for Resident Advisors, while also collaborating closely with the Program Director and Clinician to maintain a stable, culturally sensitive, and gender-responsive treatment environment. Responsibilities include supporting residents through transportation, hygiene assistance, life skills development, recreational programming, and meeting basic care needs such as clothing and cleanliness. The Supervisor participates in treatment planning meetings, maintains records and reports, promotes positive communication with families and guardians, and adheres to the Agency's Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model. Additional duties include developing and maintaining staff schedules, ensuring shift coverage, participating in on-call responsibilities, assisting with medication administration, CPR, and physical interventions when necessary, overseeing petty cash, orienting and training new staff, attending meetings and trainings, and representing the Agency professionally within the community. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field and experience working with adolescent girls with behavioral challenges; an Associate's degree with five years of related experience may be substituted. Candidates should have knowledge of trauma theory, female development, relational and strength-based approaches to care, and experience with staff supervision and administrative management. Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft 365 and web-based systems, and the ability to pass all required background, motor vehicle, and medical clearances are required. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance are also necessary.
