The Dining Services Team Lead supports the daily operations of Whitney Center's dining venues by coordinating service activities, leading front-line staff during assigned shifts, and ensuring exceptional resident, guest, and team member experiences. This role works closely with dining leadership and culinary teams to maintain high service standards, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and sanitation requirements. Leadership Lead assigned shifts and coordinate staffing, workflow, and service readiness Provide on-the-floor guidance, coaching, and support to team members Assist with onboarding and training new staff Promote professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality standards Resident & Guest Experience Ensure attentive, high-quality service throughout dining operations Support menu communication, service flow, and resident satisfaction Address service concerns and escalate issues as needed Coordinate dining service for special events and catering functions Operations Oversee opening, closing, and side-work procedures Coordinate with culinary staff to ensure timely food service Maintain dining room organization, cleanliness, and accurate menu information Complete required documentation, logs, and service records Safety & Compliance Enforce food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards Monitor food handling, temperature controls, and safety procedures Support emergency response protocols and workplace safety practices Qualifications 2-3 years of hospitality, restaurant, or senior living dining experience preferred Proven ability to lead peers and coordinate service in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service and resident-centered hospitality skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices; ServSafe certification preferred or ability to obtain Experience coaching and supporting team members Familiarity with POS systems and dining service operations
