Job Overview Ramen Lab Eatery is seeking an energetic and motivated team leader to join our vibrant restaurant team. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to lead daily operations, inspire staff, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced food service environment. As an integral part of our management team, you will oversee restaurant functions, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and foster a welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members alike. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, support staff development, and uphold our commitment to outstanding hospitality. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening, closing, and shift transitions to ensure smooth service flow. Supervise and motivate team members, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols. Oversee food handling and preparation processes to maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety compliance. Operate Toast POS systems for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction reconciliation. Ensure quick service delivery in a casual dining setting by supervising kitchen operations and coordinating front-of-house activities. Support budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to labor, supplies, and food production while maintaining excellent service standards. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive relationships. Conduct staff training sessions on food safety, hospitality management, and operational procedures to promote a cohesive team environment. Uphold health regulations and safety standards across all areas of the restaurant including kitchen management and catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant staff.
Performance Management:
Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations. Handle employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of the dining experience. Address and resolve customer complaints diplomatically and promptly.
Operations:
Oversee compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards. Ensure staff hold current sanitation and safety certifications. Manage inventory, purchase food and supplies as needed.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor and achieve budgeted goals. Maintain sales records and track cash receipts.
Hit Monthly Sales Goals Facility Maintenance:
Assure completion of side work, including equipment and storage area cleaning. Make suggestions for improvements in dining room procedures and layout.
Vendor Relations:
Develop relationships with vendors. Comparison shop for products.
Qualifications:
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and team management. Sales techniques and planning. Proficiency in Microsoft software and familiarity with POS systems.
Certifications:
Servsafe Manager Certified.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 1-2 years of restaurant experience, with management preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to navigate all positions in the restaurant quickly. Comfortable working on feet for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
