Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Front of House Shift Lead to join our dynamic hospitality team! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, smooth shift management, and efficient team coordination. Your leadership will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service, possesses strong leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership abilities while delivering memorable dining experiences. Duties Lead and supervise front-of-house staff during your shift, including servers, hosts, and food-runners. Ensure all food preparation and service meet quality standards and adhere to food safety regulations Manage POS system such as Square POS for accurate order processing and cash handling Oversee inventory such as beer and wine to maintain proper stock levels and minimize waste Provide training and ongoing development for team members to enhance their skills in food handling, customer service, and restaurant procedures Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests Ensure Checklists and policies are consistently followed and enforced Ensure high service standards are met Maintain consistent communication with the kitchen and Kitchen Manager for smooth service Manage and update systems, including menus, checklists, and internal tools. Support team organization, accountability, and guest experience Accurately compile weekly cash sales to prepare for deposit, as well as distribute server cash tips under a tip share system. Manage a reservation system for flow of seating in our resturant Experience Experince Leading and supervising front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, food-runners/bussers Proven FOH supervisory or leadership experience in a upscale dine-in establishment (required) Background in food service management with knowledge of food safety standards (required) Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing (required) Experience in hospitality management including staff training, interviewing, and team development Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities effectively (required) Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage inventory control processes (required) Strong computer proficiency (microsoft word, excel, google docs, etc.) and ability to manage our POS system (required) Experience with taking inventory (beer and wine preferred) Experience in creating schedules a plus! (not required) Proficiency in managing a reservation system Ability to thrive and work efficiently in a fast paced, high volume environment.
